Welcome to Old Kiln Farm

Vera, Joe and Philip welcome you to enjoy a relaxing stay in our well equipped recently refurbished well established holiday cottages Dove and Seaview in Allonby.

From December 2025 we opened 2 new cottages from an existing barn into 2 beautiful cottages from the barn conversion, Cross beck 3 bedroom and Black dub 2 bedroom. Seaview has also had a face lift and has now been extended to 3 bedroom with living room and kitchen in new extension.

We are both child and dog friendly.

We are a small working farm incorporating a touring site open to the public. We are 100 metres from the beach and one mile to the village of Allonby. We are situated on the stunning Solway Coast, and a short drive away to the historic towns of Cockermouth, Maryport and Silloth. Great location to explore the Northern Lakes. Beautiful views of Skiddaw and the Scottish coast line.

Excellent routes for walkers and cyclists via the beach or coastal path.

Allonby is a one mile leisurely walk into the village via the beach or footpath, where you will find The Ship pub which is dog friendly and a 2nd pub called Jack’s surf bar. Other facilities in Allonby include a coffee shop, indoor swimming Pool, children’s play area and the famous Twentymans Ice Cream Shop, which also sells basic essentials.

Our cottages are set in a quiet setting next to our small farm, with stunning views of the countryside. Allonby has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including the Lake District National Park and it’s attractions including Lakes Distillery, Go Ape, and Tree top Adventures.

Take advantage of exclusive golf offers during your stay: Maryport Golf Club is offering 20% off green fees when you mention us, and we at Old Kiln Farm are offering 15% off bookings for a minimum 3-night stay when playing golf at Maryport. Visit here for more

Fishing enthusiasts can cast a line directly from the beach while taking in the stunning Allonby coastline, with its expansive sands, open sea views, and tranquil atmosphere.
